Finally the end of the first week in school for the new semester!!! I could not be more happier. Now I realize why we have a holiday weekend at that very first week, it has been ridiculously stressful!
Here is the thing I decided to take 17 credits, 15 of which I am going to have to work my tail off this semester (and I plan on it). I had the worst time trying to get into my intro to accounting course, what a night mare. I emailed more administration in the past two months than actually the amount of times I have spoken to my profs face to face. In the end it all worked out to my favor. I am taking three classes for my major, well four if you count the financial accounting requirement. I am also taking a religion course for my general undergraduate requirements and one fun elective, contemporary dance. I was planning on dropping that course but I figured it would be an easy A (since it is all participation and hell when do I not want to dance!) and would give me a good break from all the stress I will have from my other courses.
The funny thing is for the first time my parents have been really happy and excited about me taking a class, and it is my dance class. My mom thinks I was "born to dance" ever since I learned to walk on my toes as a infant instead of flat feet like a normal child haha. I think my dad just knows I'm happy when dancing. It is also going to be a great stress reliever. We already started doing some combination, I can't believe I stopped dancing for so long. Though since she had us rolling on the floor most of the time, I know I will have some bruises.
In other update, there is another hurricane out there and we will probably get the edges of it, oh joy.
In the best news it is a long weekend !!!! I am staying in town doing some school work, resting, and probably going out swimming at some spring, that should be exciting but chilly brrr.
Have a great Labor day and look for my post on quirky.
Always

Guess what followed me home?
So I am back at Florida State University, I got in on this past Wednesday. I left home with the hope to avoid the tropical storm flay that was on the edges of taking over my central Florida homeland. The drive was easy and pretty much rain free, but it seems something followed me home. The tropical storm, though only said to be moving 5 miles per hour, sure made a be-line for Tallahassee. I spent my time in the rain this past couple days knowing that only the worst of it was about to come. Running around town getting groceries, so I didn't have to venture out in this rain and wind that is currently ragging against my condo, to get food.
I also have been reorganizing my room, getting it ready to hit the books. It was when I was buried up in my knees in shoes that I decided I need a better way of organizing them than just shoving them in a basket that was overflowing. So in my around the town errands I ran over to bed bath and beyond and picked up this great hanging shoe organizer with side pockets. It is great! Now my shoes are separated, protected, and easy to find.
In this process I realized I had more shoes that I needed or wore. So I bagged up some of my more than 30 shoes I have acquired along with some of my clothes and accessories and plan to give them to Good will. This is a great way to start out fresh for the new school year. I highly recommend it!

Start of a New Era
Instead of continuing the pirate themed blog, I decided to take things a little more seriously, though I know it added a little humor to what I wrote about. This past weekend I turned 20 years old. How ironic it was but as I left be hind my teen angst, I did so crying. After a good night sleep the rest of my birthday turned out great.
Now only one more year till I can really celebrate haha.
For this birthday I pretty much decided to celebrate it with family since I gone all year for University. We ate out at one of our favorite restaurants, the Willow Tree Cafe in Sanford, Florida. It is an authentic German Kitchen, ompa band and all (well on the weekends). For those who want a taste of Europe without the cost, this is definitely a fun time and great authentic food. Don't worry if you don't understand the German on the menu, the friendly staff is more than willing to help with any of your questions or wants.
Also saw the movies Indiana Jones: the crystal skull and Narnia: Prince Caspian. Both were great movies, I definitely thought the Narnia sequel was as good as the first. Though, I wish the directors would go in order of the book series, since they are such good novels. I also find it unfortante that they didn't start with the first book of the series The Magicians Nephew, but like Lord of the Rings, guess that wasn't in the cards. Hopefully they will make the Hobit and the first Narnia novel.
The second movie I saw as I mentioned was the new Indiana Jones film. Though Harrison Ford is older, he still kicked butt and looks hot as ever. I'm not sure how I liked Shia Labeouf as Ford's side kick, but he did more than any other kid sidekick. Though it wasn't like the other Indiana Jone's films it was good as a film itself in my opinion. SPOILER ALERT: One of my favorite part of the film was when the Ark of the Convent made a brief appearance in all the hustle and bustle. Not a big part of the movie but a nice touch I thought.
So resolutions for this year:
1. hit the gym more
2. Get more involved in my major and start networking at events
3. Keep up to this blog
4. Work on other blog I am a team member of, see blog link of Quirky.
More to be added as I think of them.
Look for another post coming soon to you
